Baramati: Adulterated milk brought to Baramati was seized from Shivkrupa Milk Collection Center at Jamkhed in Ahmednagar district. It has been confiscated. The Food and Drug Administration Office in Pune seized 8497 liters of adulterated cow’s milk worth Rs 2 lakh 29 thousand 419.
Meanwhile, the administration had received information that about 8,000 liters of adulterated milk would arrive from Jamkhed by tanker (MH.11 / L. 5962). Officers from the squad inspected the milk. The test revealed that the milk was adulterated and of low quality. In Baramati, adulterated milk has been confiscated and disposed of properly.
After questioning tanker driver Sampat Bhagwan Nanavare coming from Jamkhed, he admitted that the adulterated milk belonged to Shivkrupa Milk Collection Center. Under the guidance of Arjun Bhujbal, Assistant Commissioner (Food), Circle 5, a team of Food Safety Officers went to Baramati and conducted a raid. The operation was carried out on the night of July 7 by the Food and Counterfeit Prevention Department at the Baramati border. The milk was to be supplied to an industry in Baramati area.
