Pune: A four-year-old girl has been arrested by the Saswad police for kidnapping and selling her. The accused is identified as Vilas Kamble.

According to police, a four-year-old girl was abducted from the premises of Swargate police station yesterday. A case was registered against him. Police made the post viral by posting a description of the girl through social media.

A local resident of Saswad found the girl of the said description with a man at the PMT bus stop in Saswad at around 2 pm today. The man saw the post on social media and called the Swargate police mobile number given below. And he gave this information to the police. Swargate police immediately contacted Saswad police and informed the minor girl.

Meanwhile, Saswad police sent a photo of the minor girl to Swargate police station and confirmed that she was the same girl. After that, Swargate police have taken the girl into their custody from Saswad police station, said Annasaheb Gholap, police inspector of Saswad police station.

Based on the information received, Saswad police constable Jadhav went to the spot and found the minor girl and accused Vilas Kamble at the PMT bus stand. Police arrested the two. Accused Vilas Kamble said that the minor girl was abducted with the intention of selling her.
